Kunstenaar Gerrie Baptist
Gerry Baptist was born in Lahore in 1935 of British and Portuguese
parents. Educated in both India and England, he believes that the
common thread of strong colour and energy that has been woven into
his work throughout his career emerged from the vivid images and
magical colours that accompanied his childhood in India.
Baptist studied painting and graphics at the London College of
Printing. He was taught by the painters/printmakers George Chapman,
Ruskin Spear and John Ward and the graphic designers George Adam and
Harold Bartram and was awarded the National Diploma in Design with
distinction.
Gerry Baptist has developed a reputation for colourful, graphic and
original images. His range is adventurous - he is as comfortable
using a computer as he is handling paint on canvas or copper plate
and printer's ink. We are showing here a range of his Signed Limited
Edition Digital Prints. Please call us if you would be interested in
details of Gerry's paintings.
